At the end of our collaboration, we had a fintech platform that helps users get professional advice on spending and investing strategies, tax management, and financial plans from licensed advisors. Yes, all in one simple and beautiful app.
Our client gathered a gang of the coolest US fintech experts, but they lacked a mobile app development team. So they asked us to help them handle iOS app development.
After analyzing the client's goals and objectives, we jumped into the development. We built a top-notch app for 2 user roles: advisors and clients. Users could chat in the app, receive financial advice, see the stock market activity, transfer money, and manage their accounts. We made it a really all-in-one app.
The client wanted to have an iOS app done by April. We started the collaboration at the end of February. So the math is simple, we had 2 months to develop the app with all the functionality.
Understanding the necessity of the deadline, we proactively suggested a ReactNative development approach. We had 3 years of experience with ReactNative at that time, and we knew that apps built on ReactNative usually take 20-40% less time to develop features in either iOS or Android apps.
One way for Dollar Shave Club to achieve this goal was through a mobile app, which would provide them with account management tools to encourage engagement. We implemented such features to keep users engaged: Original Content, Gift Cards, New Business Model with “Handsome discount”, Internationalization — shops in
non-US countries, and much more. We also needed to make sure the implemented design was
pixel-perfect, so that the app provided a smooth experience across all supported Android devices and as few bugs as possible (seriously).
For us, the quality of communication is as important as the line of code. We were lucky enough to have the client sharing the same position. So we had to build a smooth communication with the design and backend team from the client side to create a product that brings value.
On-site presence for the Uptech app team was the best solution. Uptech Developers and Product Manager went to the US to meet the client personally and spent a few weeks working hand-in-hand. It not only helped us to come up with some cool engineering solutions but built trust.
