Tired Banker is an investment platform created for people who want to understand companies without digging through long and confusing earnings reports. The product uses AI to break down financial information into something quicker to read and easier to use.

Uptech joined the project in January 2023. The founders already had a strong idea: take ten years of reports from S&P 500 companies and turn them into a product that helps people research stocks in a more practical way.

Our role was to help bring that idea to life. Another goal was to avoid the usual cold finance look and create something people would enjoy coming back to. We worked on the web product, design, and overall user experience. On top of that, we added AI features to the platform. The cooperation resulted in a successful product launch and a strong foundation for future growth.

Challenges and Solutions

Long reports no one wants to read

Earnings reports matter, but most people do not want to spend their evening reading fifty pages of finance language and footnotes. The challenge was to turn that material into something comprehensible without stripping away the meaning.

Solution

We used AI to pull out the main points and present them in plain language. Users could get the story faster, then open the full report if they wanted more detail.

People doubt AI in finance

Users may try AI once, but they will not stay if the answers feel random or shallow. In a financial product, trust is everything. The platform needed responses that felt steady and relevant.

We spent time refining how the system answered questions and summarized data. The goal was simple: fewer empty phrases, more concrete takeaways people could actually use.

Too many finance tools feel the same

A lot of investing products look serious, grey, and overloaded with charts. The founders wanted a product with more character, something people would remember after the first visit.

We went in a different direction and built a retro-inspired interface with a lighter feel. It stood out visually, but still kept the product easy to navigate.

The idea needed real users fast

The client did not want to spend a year polishing assumptions in private. They wanted to launch, see how people used the product, and improve from there.

We kept the first version focused on the core experience and moved quickly. That helped the team get to market sooner and start learning from real behavior.

Every company has its own page with historical reports, key takeaways, and AI-generated insights in one place. Users can review past performance faster without jumping between multiple sources and tabs.

S&P 500 coverage

The platform brings together data from major public companies across the S&P 500. Users can explore a wide range of businesses inside one product instead of searching for reports one by one.

Distinct product experience

The interface moves away from the usual heavy finance style. A retro visual direction gives the product more personality and makes research feel less dry, especially for first-time users.

Quick market exploration

Users can move from one company to another in a few clicks and compare information faster. This saves time during research and helps spot interesting opportunities without a slow manual process.
